You’re not broken. You just need support.
Compassionate Online Therapy for Adults and Teens | Serving All of California
Maybe this sounds familiar…
You’re always the one holding it together for everyone else, yet you’re quietly exhausted and unsure where you’re allowed to fall apart. We offer a space where you don’t have to be strong. Just real, compassionate support to help you feel grounded, lighter, and more connected to yourself again.
SHEILA PAUL, LMFT
LEAD CLINICAN & FOUNDER
Welcome to Insight Counseling Center, where we provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy. We combine evidence-based approaches with deep respect for your unique story to help transform anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges into lasting healing and growth.
The work I do isn't only academic. I bring lived understanding of what it means to grow up in environments where there wasn't much room to be a kid. I grew up in a home shaped by mental illness and addiction, where I learned early to take care of others before I was ever taken care of myself. I know what it's like to feel responsible for everyone, to second-guess yourself, and to wonder if you'll ever stop carrying it all. I also know what's possible when you finally have the space to put it down. And what it takes to build a life that actually feels like your own.
Every therapist on our team brings the same commitment.
Insight Counseling Center provides online therapy for adults and teens, rooted in inclusive, trauma-informed care that honors identity, culture, and intergenerational experiences in healing. We bring clinical expertise and real human warmth to every session, because what people need most isn't a label or a treatment plan. It's someone who sees you, where you've been, where you're stuck, and where you want to go.
If you've been thinking about starting therapy but that first step feels too overwhelming, we understand. Let's start with a free 15-minute consultation. No pressure.
We’re guided by a simple truth: You are already whole.
You don’t need to be fixed. You need a safe, supportive space and compassionate partners who will walk alongside you, gently reminding you of your strength, helping you reconnect with the resilience, wisdom, and calm that has always lived within you.
The Difference Therapy Makes.
| Right now... | After the work... |
|---|---|
| You say "I'm fine" so often you almost believe it. | You feel like yourself, not just the version of you that's surviving. |
| The same arguments, the same spiral, the same exhaustion. | You stop carrying everything alone. |
| You pour into everyone else and wonder why you're empty. | You set boundaries without guilt. |
| You feel more like a role than a person. | You actually look forward to things again. |
| The people closest to you get the worst version of you. | Your relationships feel closer, not heavier. |

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Therapy is a collaborative process where you safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with a licensed professional. Online therapy allows you to attend sessions from home using a secure video platform — it's convenient, private, and just as effective as in-person therapy for most people.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions lasting 60 minutes, though this can shift over time based on progress and personal preference. You may talk about current challenges, past experiences, or relationship dynamics — your therapist guides the process with insight, reflection, and practical strategies.
-
Yes. What you share in therapy is protected by strict confidentiality laws. The only exceptions involve situations where there is a legal obligation to ensure safety — such as threats of harm to self or others, or mandated reporting of abuse. These guidelines are clearly reviewed during intake.
-
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people begin when they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, facing life transitions, or wanting to better understand themselves. If you’ve been feeling anxious, depressed, burned out, or disconnected, therapy can offer clarity, support, and new ways forward.
-
Yes. Therapy is always your choice and you are never locked into a set number of sessions. We encourage ongoing conversations about your goals. When you're ready to pause or end treatment, we'll work together to bring closure and provide referrals if needed.
